Subject and Process

I am an artist because I am compelled to create, I have always been that way. Art is how I express myself and communicate experiences and emotions. The way I interpret a subject strongly correlates to the artistic process I use to create the art.

My abstract work is centered around my love of color and the exploration of shapes and mark making. My goal is to be relaxed when working and trust myself, accepting and appreciating the painting for what it is throughout the process. My process for making abstract work is intuitive, I let the art guide me, and fearlessly paint adding layer upon layer.   

I am excited about my creative freedom and humbled that it is my own perspective that validates the painting.
